A Mother’s Determination: Anna’s story of Learning to Cook for Gut Health
In today’s podcast, I’m joined by Anna - mum to Seb, a 3-year-old boy whose health journey led her into the world of gut healing and real food.
Seb was born via C-section and exposed to antibiotics in his earliest days of life. By 10 months old, eczema and histamine reactions had become part of everyday life, sending Anna down the long road of trying everything - from prescription creams and supplements to elimination diets and low-tox swaps.
In this conversation, Anna shares honestly about the trial and error, the overwhelm, the hope, and what made the biggest difference for her family: following the GAPS protocol for gut healing, and learning how to cook this way through the Quirky Cooking Health Reset Program. She shares her newfound love of cooking, her growing confidence in the kitchen, and her joy in seeing her son’s health improve so quickly.
This episode isn’t about quick fixes or one-size-fits-all answers. It’s about a mother’s determination, what she learned along the way, and how cooking with wholesome, traditional ingredients - prepared simply and intentionally - played a powerful role in their healing journey.
Listen in for a down-to-earth conversation about gut health, food as medicine, deep nutrition and learning to trust the process - one meal at a time.
